I once saw a documentary with a renowned French Shark expert who was getting in a rock pool regularly with some dangerous species of sharks. He was interviewed on how he knew the sharks behaviors so well and they were entirely docile provided you had the years of experience that he had. I thought it all looked a bit risky myself but the documentary ended and I thought nothing much of it.
Many months later on the News was a piece about a famous French shark expert who had been mauled in a rock pool incident (I may have dreamt this - but in the background I think there was a video clip of him being pulled out of the rock pool with blood everywhere).

This blog is is a list of some of the things that have made me laugh the most over the years! Ever have the feeling that things have gone badly and nothing will save the situation? Not true, as probably my favourite story of all time ably demonstrates.... No matter how dire a situation something might just turn up to salvage it. I read this short tale in an English Sunday newspaper more than 20 years ago and fell out of the bed laughing when I got to the key phrase. It was a short section on people who had survived life threatening circumstances in unusual ways such as falling onto train tracks and miraculously not being harmed by lying flat between the rails as the train went over... Then there was the American lady who went hiking with friends and disastrously lost her footing at the top of a cliff and disappeared over the edge.
