This blog is is a list of some of the things that have made me laugh the most over the years!
Ever have the feeling that things have gone badly and nothing will save the situation?
Not true, as probably my favorite story of all time ably demonstrates....

Not true, as probably my favorite story of all time ably demonstrates....
No matter how dire a situation something might just turn up to salvage it.
I read this short tale in an English Sunday newspaper more
than 20 years ago and fell out of the bed laughing when I got to the key
phrase. It was a short section on people who had survived life threatening
circumstances in unusual ways such as falling onto train tracks and
miraculously not being harmed by lying flat between the rails as
the train went over...
Then there was the American lady who went hiking
with friends and disastrously lost her footing at the top of a cliff and
disappeared over the edge. Horrified, her companions rushed to the base of the
cliff fully expecting their friend to be dead or severely injured due to the large
fall.
But no.
Miraculously the lady had been saved by landing on an
unusually Plump Raccoon who had just happened to be passing.
Both the woman and the Raccoon were “Severely Stunned” but
the lady recovered in Hospital and the Raccoon in an animal shelter.
Somewhere there is a woman with a picture of a Plump Raccoon
on her mantelpiece….
Footnote: When I reached the words “Plump Raccoon” I fell out
of the bed for some time it was so unexpected and brilliant. Just goes to show no matter how South things have gone something may
turn up….
